parti, you keep trying to absolve your fallen hero for any blame in the relegation of 2007-8 by insisting that it was Bruce's team but you conveniently ignore the fact that Macfadden and Zarate were added to that squad and STILL it went backwards under McLeish. You seem also to have forgotten the awfulness of a string of humiliating defeats culminating in the stomach churning debacle at Villa Park. Alex McLeish is a serial loser who stood around peddling while Rome burned. If the man had any decency he would walk now.

McLeish's record is better than any other recent Blues manager.

Birmingham City STILL have their man in McLeish.

:blues:

Thirteenth in The Prem when he took over, now in the Championship four and a half years later, via TWO relegations, the only man in our club history to do so.

Progress ?

16th actually
Plus only one point above the RZ at the time
Think you meant three and half years ....WTF ?
Only one relegation because in 2007/08 he inherited a team built by somebody else
The only man in this century to win a Trophy for us as well **thumbup

Try and get your facts right before you go spouting off , eh ??

Yes, you're right.

Three and half years not four and a half.

Two relegations in even less time than I thought.

It's all one big mess. I hope we signal our intent by spending some big money in the summer to show that they are serious about Blues' long-term future. Now they have kept McLeish, I feel that they may have to.

I wouldn't trust McLeish with another tenner.

You're so full of it, curly

McLeish had us playing some great stuff at home that 2nd half of the season

Beat Blackburn 4-1 and beat Carling Cup winnners Spurs 4-1
Beat Boro 3-0
Beat Man City 3-1
Held both Arsenal and Liverpool to 2-2

As I've said, I was expecting him to go too.....I still have a feeling he still might go .....there's a long way to go until early August

But he's done a great job for us all the same

If you can't see that then you're as blind and challenged as some of these other ***k*** on here

Oooops I almost said Muppet......My bad !! we can't resort to name calling can we ?

Hey ! Look on the bright side.....your nemesis Barry Ferguson will have a lot more time on the ball in The Championship.....he should be able to find those forward passes now :applause:

Ferguson doesn't know where forward is, Parti. He must have been a crab in a previous life.
